Mental health refers to a person’s psychological and emotional well-being. This not only affects how we feel or think, but also how we act. Mental health comes in many different forms such as, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and more. The discussions surrounding this topic are often centered around adolescents, but it is important to understand that mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood through adulthood. The stigma around mental health is very prevalent in today's society, but we need to work together to normalize it so that people feel comfortable seeking help.

This piece is about struggling with mental health/personal challenges and not knowing how to communicate that or express that part of your identity.
I Might Cry Myself To Sleep
My poem is about mental health and the romanticism of it. “Normal” people tend to think they can just tell you to “get over it”, but that’s not really how it works.
