Managed by the Art Initiative, The Traveling Heart Project is dedicated to combating sexual assault with humanity and dignity through art created by student advocates. The project initially launched in 2014, and has grown to include 100 canvases created by students and school faculty from around the country. Through the Summit on Sexual Assault and Consent, schools underscore the importance of supporting survivors, proactively preventing sexual violence, and building a culture of consent. We know that this work means leading with the HEART, and so we’ve joined together to create artwork featuring hearts to stand in solidarity with survivors.

"I was inspired by the stories and strength of the survivors I had the honor of listening to at the summit. My work is meant to show that even through the confusion of assault and its repercussions, the internal strength of each individual and those who support them prevails through."

"I learned tons, it's hard to narrow the whole experience down to one thing. I will continue to support survivors of sexual assault by looking for volunteer centers by me, starting conversations about Sexual Assault in my school, and keeping myself educated."
